Brew Day at Eagle Heights Brewery
Frank (Head Brewer) & the BABBs Crew will be brewing 500L of an English Best Bitter in the style of Timothy Taylor Landlord Bitter at Eagle Heights Brewery, 10 Macdonnell Rd, Eagle Heights. Mash in will be 9am.
Plenty of great beers on tap & BBQ lunch will be provided for those interested. $25 for Steak, $18 for Chicken/chops, $10 for kids.
Venue is wife/child friendly, so all welcome - It's also market day on the mountain, so plenty to do for those not interested in the brewery.
The event is open to all visitors but the wort kits are restricted to BABBs members only.

Cost will be just $23 per head for 20L of wort in a brand new 20L cube.
Due to the limited amount of wort available (500L) & the fact that we are only paying for ingredients (at cost), the Wort Kits will be limited to the first 25 members confirming their participation to brewmaster@babbrewers.com with priority going to those members partaking in the day &/or having lunch. So please advise on your return email, if partaking in the day & numbers for food, so Ed (the owner) can plan accordingly. We expect to be all done & dusted by about 1pm, then for those interested, we will be heading up to Mt Brewery for a few beers with Ian Watson (Head Brewer).
Those taking part will be required to have the finished beer ready for our April meeting. Each Brewer must use a different yeast (no restrictions, Ale, lager, English, Belgian, etc). We will finalise yeasts at our February meeting, so please advise if you have a preference. CraftBrewer for this event will be providing Wyeast liquid at $9 a pack & dried yeast at $3.00 or you are welcome to source your own.
